RFQ & Quotation
How requests, quotations and approvals work.
Request for quotation
An RFQ is a formal request from a business customer for pricing, availability, and commercial terms. An RFQ is not an order, a Proforma Invoice, a payment request, or a guarantee of supply.
RFQ information
An RFQ may contain product selection, requested quantities, buyer requirements, delivery destination, shipping requirements, buyer notes, and supporting documents where relevant. TechOffer may request clarification before preparing a quotation.
Sales review
TechOffer Sales may review product availability, requested quantities, commercial requirements, shipping requirements, buyer information, supporting documentation, and other transaction-specific conditions.
Quotation content
A quotation may include product description, quantity, unit price, shipping, discount where applicable, tax treatment where applicable, total amount, currency, validity period, payment terms, and other commercial conditions.
Quotation validity
Unless otherwise stated, a quotation is valid for 14 days from its issue date. TechOffer may specify a different validity period where appropriate.
Once the validity period expires, the quotation cannot be accepted through the normal approval process. A new quotation or revised quotation may be required.
Quotation revisions
If the buyer requests changes, TechOffer may issue a new quotation version. Previous versions remain part of the transaction history.
A previous version must not be treated as the current commercial offer once it has been superseded.
Buyer decision
The buyer may Approve, Request Changes, or Decline. The buyer's response applies only to the specific quotation version presented for that response.
Approval does not mean payment
Buyer approval confirms acceptance of the applicable commercial quotation. It does not confirm payment and does not represent a bank-transfer confirmation. Payment is governed by the Payment & Proforma Invoice Policy.
Changes before payment
Product availability, supplier conditions, quantity changes, shipping requirements, or other material circumstances may require a revised quotation before payment. Where required, TechOffer will issue a revised quotation.
