VAT & Tax

UAE VAT, export rules and tax information.

General

VAT and other tax treatment is determined according to applicable UAE tax legislation, the nature of the transaction, the location and movement of the goods, TechOffer's VAT status, supporting documentation, and other relevant circumstances.

The buyer's country alone does not determine the final VAT treatment.

UAE VAT registration

Where TechOffer is VAT registered, taxable supplies may be subject to UAE VAT at the applicable rate. The standard UAE VAT rate is currently 5%, subject to applicable law and any qualifying zero-rated or exempt treatment.

TechOffer's current VAT registration status is shown on the Company Information page.

Standard-rated VAT

Where a transaction is subject to standard-rated UAE VAT and TechOffer is VAT registered, the applicable VAT will be charged and reflected in the relevant commercial document. The rate applicable to the transaction will be determined according to the law in force at the relevant time.

Export of goods

Certain exports of goods outside the UAE may qualify for zero-rating where the legal requirements are satisfied. A transaction is not automatically zero-rated merely because the buyer is outside the UAE, the buyer is a foreign company, or the delivery address is outside the UAE.

Export documentation

Where zero-rating is applied to an export, TechOffer may require and retain appropriate evidence supporting the export in accordance with applicable UAE VAT requirements. The required evidence may include customs, shipping, or other officially recognized documentation depending on the transaction and applicable rules.

Sales and accounting review

Where tax review is required, Sales may propose the applicable tax treatment. Accounting may review buyer information, transaction details, destination, export evidence, tax registration information, and supporting documentation.

The approved tax treatment is the treatment confirmed through TechOffer's accounting and tax review process.

No automatic tax decision

TechOffer does not determine final VAT treatment solely from buyer country, buyer nationality, TRN status, wholesale status, or sales channel. The actual transaction and supporting evidence must be considered.

Where TechOffer is not VAT registered

If TechOffer is not VAT registered, TechOffer will not issue a Proforma charging UAE VAT as a VAT-registered supplier. The Wholesale system reflects the company's actual VAT registration status.

Buyer tax responsibilities

The buyer is responsible for providing accurate business and tax information where requested, and remains responsible for its own tax, customs, import, and reporting obligations in the destination country.

Destination taxes

Import VAT or GST, customs duties, sales taxes, withholding taxes, clearance charges, and other destination-country taxes or fees may apply. Unless expressly included in the quotation, such charges are the buyer's responsibility.

Changes in tax law

Tax rates, procedures, documentation requirements, and export rules may change. TechOffer may update its tax procedures and applicable documentation requirements to reflect changes in UAE legislation or official guidance.

No individual tax advice

This Policy provides general information about TechOffer's Wholesale tax process. It does not constitute individual tax, customs, or legal advice. Buyers should obtain professional advice regarding their own tax and import obligations where appropriate.
