In this 21st century, almost everyone fully depend on one tech gadgets or the other; like laptops, Mobiles, MacBook etc and during this pandemic all businesses and education sectors where forced to run there trades online.
People where forced to buy specific tech gadgets. Those that are bored got gaming laptops, those who needed to study got laptops for eLearning, and for the business minded, they had to keep it running and thus they got more sophisticated laptops like business laptops and then there is Facebook & Apple tussle/feud.
Facebook and Apple tracking privacy battle is poised to affect the way both people, lifestyle, entertainment, and businesses work or well, are designed to work. Lately, Facebook has become increasingly worried about Apple’s upcoming privacy measures.
Why? I don't think you need an answer to that. But read on ..
Is no news again that Facebook is tracking every move we make digitally and otherwise. As long as you have Facebook App installed on your mobile, every activities you are enjoying are being tracked by Facebook. How else do you think they show you targeted ads of what you have been browsing on once you log into Facebook? Magic! naaaa.
Well, Apple is about to burst their bubble. Apple Inc is about to introduce tracking transparency App with IOS 14. This means - using iPhone IOS 14, users can disable any application they don't want Facebook to track. How cool is that..? But Facebook, as envisaged are crying fowl about that.
Facebook are saying this disproportionately affects Audience Network given its heavy dependence on App advertising. Google also announced some adjustments they’ll need to make, although they’ve certainly been quieter than Zuckerberg’s team. Google, hmmm let me not get started with them. Just know this, as long as you use android phone, even your conversation with a friend (not on the phone) is not safe.
Apple announced a new privacy policy related to their Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) user tracking feature, which third-party apps use for ad targeting in this policy, collecting data would become an opt-in feature.
In response to this announcement, Facebook announced they would be sending pop-up notifications to Apple users asking for permission to track them for ad targeting purposes, with this notification users getting suggestions that they would support businesses that trust on ads to succeed in customers.
Both companies have not made any decision, and have recently engaged in a heated war of words on these privacy changes. That battle directly affected tech gadgets like iPhones, laptops, etc.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Apple is one amongst biggest competitors and the privacy changes will hurt the growth of millions of businesses around the world.
In a response, Apple CEO Tim Cook posited in a speech at a data privacy conference in Brussels saying, If a business is built on misleading users, on data exploitation, on choices that are no choices at all, it doesn't deserve our praise. It deserves reform.
Facebook is finding new solutions for their users so that Facebook users can continue to grow their businesses. Now iPhone users have the option to allow or not allow tracking their data. We are indeed coming into the best times.
But wait, if you are in UAE or Oman and looking to to buy tech product like Macbooks, Gaming laptop, Business laptop, 2-in-1 laptop, Student laptop, visit Tech-Offer.com
How does this development affect you business?
Contrarily to what people are saying, including the doom carriers, this doesn't really hurt your business too much. Though is not really going to be "business as usual", but that doesn't mean Facebook & Instagram Ads will be dead. NO NO NO NO.
This just mean that it will be a little harder to target people after these measures has been implemented. It will undoubtedly be a little expensive to target people on Facebook and since laser targeting will be quite difficult, it simply means you would have to spend a lot more to get the results you want on Facebook.
Simply put:
If you where spending 400 USD to get 20 Purchases, you will now spend 550 USD or more to get same Purchases. Is just tougher but it will still be profitable. After-all, Android amasses up to 80% of the market.
